Music

A large portion of my life is focused around music, not the music most of you listen to, it's the kind of music that I can play. When I was in school, since third grade, I have been playing the trumpet, and when I got into fourth grade, I joined the band and much to my surprise my band teacher also placed me in our schools fifth grand band. I was one of two people to have this honor, from an elementary students perspective, and even further my band teacher nominated me for SCMEA, I was one of three students to go to this event, the other two students were in orchestra and chorus. It was at this point I realized that I had a serious talent for my instrument. In middle school, my first day of band I had the pleasure of meeting another trumpet player, and together even through high school, she and I were the best two there were in our grade, Sophomore year comes around and we both get into our schools Wind Ensemble, but this is where I hate admitting this, but that's when she had the edge over me because I went on to be one of our schools Drum Majors for the marching band, so for three consecutive years, I never got to pick up my instrument to play for the fall. Now I'm in college and am struggling to find a good band to play with , I love how the tables have turned.

This is the Trumpet I decided to buy for $600, but I think I did rather well considering it is a $1200 instrument.
