Theater
This is the theater in which all of the fun in my life happens. Even now, after graduating High School, I still go back to help in the Stage Crew. When I was there, I became the Lighting Designer in 11th grade and designed four shows, two Dramas and 2 Musicals. Before that, I was a spot light operator and even before that I was on the running crew which are the people usually dressed in black moving the set around while the actors take the light. My Freshmen year, during the Musical, the second act required six of us to move two walls so one giant library wall can drop down from the ceiling to take its place. That was probably the most fun I had while I was in the running crew. But more of the work that we Stage Crew members love is the work that takes place behind the scenes, it is the most hilarious spectacle to see actors coming in for rehearsal and are shocked that a set appeared overnight with little to no warning, then when we tell them it was us they don't believe that we were there until three in the morning building it and putting it into place. Personally, when our class was introduced to a Greek stage, I was actually shocked how much of the terminology is for the most part, the same. This is life of theater that i love more than anything else in the world.
